GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar, appetite, and digestion. GLP-1 receptor agonists are medications that mimic this hormone, helping with weight loss by reducing hunger, slowing digestion, and improving blood sugar control. These medications are commonly prescribed for weight management and metabolic health.

A compounded medication is a custom-made prescription prepared by a licensed pharmacy to meet a patient’s individual needs. In the case of compounded semaglutide, it is made by a compounding pharmacy using active pharmaceutical ingredients to create a formulation similar to brand-name options, like Ozempic® or Wegovy®, when those are unavailable or not covered by insurance.
At ShapeUp Weight & Wellness, we only partner with trusted, accredited compounding pharmacies that follow strict quality and safety standards.

Visits can be conducted through video conferencing, phone calls, or text messaging. Your first visit must be a video consultation, but after that, you can choose the format that works best for you.
